A lovely evening was had last night , after a shaky start with a flat van battery ..but hey we got there , set up and immediately handed out the food supplied by The Bearded Sailor, whilst people waited for us to set up.
A huge team was out, so all of our guests were attended to without hesitation..
Home cooked meals of Curry, Sausage & Mash, prepared by Adrian Hood, KFC, Chips some vegan options by Tge Bearded Sailor Pudsey and Hhuk kitchen 😋
to follow was 240 mixed deserts, Rhubarb & Blackberry crumble and custard grown by the Howson family and picked /cooked by Jane Black, Then spectacular home bakes from Linda Thornton, , Irys Shute, M&s and HHUK , these went down a treat served with honey Greek yogurt ..
Darren Howson and his daughter , ferried a tonne of clothing donated by Martha and the Subaru club , this was very much appreciated.
Thanks to Forum Central, we took out Greggs vouchers , Sleeping bags, tents and other essential hygiene products .All our homeless recieved a few meals in a bottle , supplied through Link Communications..oh let’s not forget the fantastic bag if shoes donated by our Sharon Bruce ..all Topped of with some amazing essential packs for all our street friends , made by Eileen Fahy from donated items , In Kind items and purchases through the household Support Fund/Forum Central..
music of course relaxes everyone , as well as a well balanced team of caring and loving volunteers..
we packed up and collected 35 kilos of Nandos at the end of the night for Sundays feed , with some distributed to people in hardship, everyone happy as Larry we went home ..what can I say ..THANKYOU FOR ALL THE DEDICATION AND DONATIONS ..❤️
