Omg sunday

OMG sunday was heaving..on route it pelted down , and I had a moment with God, I begged him to stop the rain so that people could eat and talk and take their time to choose what they wanted. Miraculously, as we pulled up , there wasn’t a drop of rain for almost 2 hours ..and so we began ..
Patiently our guests waited for us to set up , they had been waiting under shelter from the rain , but cane out to queue as the rain ceased, one even commented how the rain always stops when we turn up ..hahahaha
we put on music and of we went , as they just kept coming..
Eileen gave out emergency packs full of essentials and treats for the night ahead , trixie sorted clothing and warm duvets/blankets as well as clothing and I sorted tents, pods, sleeping bags and trainers , whilst the rest of the team served 230 meals , over 300 items of sweetness , 85 sandwiches and other goodies from pret A Manger, greggs and M&S ..
The teamwork was superb, comparing to a finely tuned engine , each part playing its part and ticking over until we ran out of everything, and packed up ..
More than happy was I that everyone had been fed and heard, clothed, watered and enjoyed the food and ambience.
many many thanks to Hhuk team and to every person/organisation/local businesses that donated 👏
together we stand to bring some peace and understanding in their very noisy world full of misunderstood and dehumanised lost souls ..WE NEED TO KEEP SEEING THEM
not just the homeless, but those struggling to keep a home ..
Thankyou 💖
