A thoroughly rewarding event last night , after some abrupt strong words from my unwell self ..the queue was huge , and a massive police presence in town , although im sure was needed , did put people a tad on edge 😳, however we have a strict , NO DRUGS NO ALCOHOL rule , so the police pleasantly smiled and went on their way , and we began ..Speed lightening cones to mind , 😆.
many compliments about the food were humbley excepted and appreciated.
warm duvets and pods were a game changer , and pillows an absolute 💯 delight ..complete comfort , warmth and protection from the elements..
we fed and watered all the street homeless and gave them some great overnight itens and clean underwear, which as you know , Eileen spends hours sourcing and making for them .
thanks to the Household Support Fund, we gave out greggs vouchers so that our homeless can get a decent breakfast, basic mobile phones and hygiene products were available and much appreciated.
Food bank was great and 380 kilos of foodbank and surplus went into homes across leeds as well as FREE gifts from our In Kind which we buy with our Household Support Fund..with
many smiles , a lot of hugs and some beautiful words exchanged..the team packed up and we collected another 26 kilos of Nandos for our next feed ..
Thankful for the whole team at outreach and behind the scenes and extremely grateful 🙏 for Pizzapizza, week in, week out, they supply us with fresh , hot and delicious pizzas ..and they love it ..
