Last night was NUTZZXZ , a head count of 214.
The queues are actually getting bigger weekly 😳
around 70 people had already arrived before we got there , waiting patiently..Thank God the rain stopped as the queue just got bigger and bigger , and even then people were appearing from no where .
on a plus side , we had plenty for everyone, I would say at least 85%were actually homeless, sofa surfers or in shelters..oddly enough, foodbank was very slow ..bit of a relief really as we got to pack it away and concentrate on crowd control .
Pizzapizza turned up , fetched by charlie which was a life saver for late comers as were the emergency packs which we leave in the car so that everyone has something..
The team were in great spirits and as always , served with a caring smile and tender words ..
yes there was a moment that wasn’t very nice , it happens 😕 especially when people have been left hungry and cold ..but this situation was very quickly defused and the night continued with precision.
Thankyou to Hhuk kitchen/me for all the food , and much love to my bakers Sheena Mckinnon and Irys Shute..gotta shake Eileens hand for individually wrapping 3 crates of M&S treats ..bravo , she’s a better person than me , I would of cried, especially when we couldn’t find none of them hahahaha..we did eventually, I think they were on the table for around 8 minutes, hahaha, totally mad.
We can’t thank the people that continue to support us enough ..its absolutely freezing out there 😫 and all the donations were so gratefully excepted ..especially blankets, coats , sleeping bags and footwear..please keep it coming as numbers grow ..

dog and cat food was also supplied.
